We have been taking advantage of this lovely hot weather to move along on lots of fronts. Although Jamie thinks it is too hot, really it has been delightful!

The beautiful maple ceiling is up and the the interior walls are going in. These will be painted poplar. We have gotten a start on the exterior siding which is dressed spruce board on batten finished in alight stain/preservative. All the wood came from Amos Wood in Blockhouse who have been doing a great job for us!

We have also received our Dickinson propane heater to take the edge off those chilly mornings! This is a marine grade stainless steel heater designed for boats, but perfect for a tiny shelter, too. Thanks to Doug at the Lunenburg Boat Locker for bringing this in for us.

We are going to be at the Growing Green Festival, so come by and take a look at the finished product. There are lots of activities beginning on Thursday August 21st through Sunday August 24th. We will be at the street fair on Saturday August 23rd and would love to show you Bird House in person.
